Our Mission

Our mission is to offer a necessary alternative to degrees for those who cannot access traditional higher education. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their career aspirations without barriers, and we do so by sticking to four core values:
Affordable
Universities are fantastic institutions, but many of their courses aren’t financially accessible. Academic rigour demands a large investment that we can’t always make, especially if we already have a lot of bills to pay, mouths to feed and places to be. Our career paths isolate the core skills needed to thrive in your chosen field and deliver them to you at a high quality that challenges you.
Flexible
As well as being expensive, degrees require time and energy, even in a part-time capacity. For those of us who can’t exactly give up the day job, the opportunity remains out of our grasp. Square Skills deliberately paces courses to take around 200 learning hours over a 12-month period, giving you plenty of time to plan your learning journey to fit your schedule. If you’re looking for a weekend project, something to focus on in between school holidays, or want to spend your little pockets of time on something productive, a Square Skills career path can fit your needs.
Relevant
IT is one of the fastest-moving academic fields. The nature of tech is to undergo constant and rapid evolution, so understandably learning materials get old, and fast. We deliver courses that are updated regularly, sometimes more than once a year, to accommodate new methodologies, applications, and anything else in between that you would need to know to excel in your chosen career path. You will get the skills you need in the right timeframe.
Professional
What somebody can learn about IT in theory can differ greatly to IT in practice. Knowing a lot about IT is important, but it’s also important to thrive in the IT workplace and be an ideal employee. Our career path courses prioritise and contextualise working soft skills during your learning, so you know what to expect when you apply, get and progress in your new job. You don’t just learn the tech; you learn the industry.

Our Story

Square Skills was borne out of love for the game. Our founders have decades of experience working and succeeding in Government-funded IT education, helping people across all sections of society to achieve their learning goals and secure better employment opportunities.

After time away from the sector, they decided to start again. This time, they crafted higher level course programmes designed to improve and fuel the world's IT workforce.

Square Skills wants to tackle labour shortages in important sectors of IT, such as cyber security and network engineering. We aim to be the bridge that helps hapless wannabe-career changers finally cross over into a new industry without making near-impossible sacrifices to their livelihood to do it.

You undertake actual accredited courses from top IT education organisations with the option of examination. We only offer standardised, industry-ready training that employers can trust. Genuine Creers Support

A guaranteed job interview and guidance in CV writing and Linkedin profile building is offered to all of our students. We’re happy to bring hobbyists on board, who simply enjoy IT and want to learn more about it, but Square Skills exists to extend a further hand out to those who need help with employment, especially for those who have never worked in IT before.

Real Instructors

Our Instructors are real people, and our courses are regularly updated. Instead of buying a legacy course on sale that’s many years out of date, you get tutelage on up-to-date technologies and methodologies in your chosen field. While your course is self-paced, you can contact tutors in your own time and get responses to any questions you have.
